Submitted Article 6 : Mr Dhondy
How can there be a Queen Elizabeth's Boys' School page, without mentioning the main man... Mr Dhondy. There was an article about him previouly, but it has since been removed. First off, your won't catch who wrote this... so don't waste your time looking - I don't normally submit messages to this page let alone articles, but we really don't want Dhondy to think this QE Boys site had forgotton to mention him now do we...
Right from day one I have always enjoyed geography, back then I used to have Mr Halford. He hasn't been mentioned much on this site, so I’ll say a bit. Personally I think he's an excellent teacher, I’m not here to make fun of the teachers, so I'm not trying to prove a point. This site is the TRUTH about QE Boy's, I actually learnt things in his class, so much, in fact, that he moved me up a set. Obviously I was quite pleased about this, I knew QE Boy's school misplaced me right from the start anyway, but QE always have their way. Guess what? My new teacher was called Mr Dhondy. I remember the first lesson, he looked at me like I was a some s*** that he had just stepped in - 'Who are you' he asked in his annoying voice, I replied with my name, and he then said 'what are you doing here?' I didn't have an answer for that stupid question straight away, as I was amazed that he obviously had no idea what was going on in his class. He then bellowed 'HELLOOO' like some sort of f***ing moron, this is hardly what you want to hear from someone when you should be rewarded for doing well in Geography.
Right from day one, Dhondy despised me, I don't know why, looking back on it I don't think it was only me, I think he hated everyone he taught, he hated everything. He couldn't teach, he had serious personality problems, the only pleasure he got was using his laptop computer during lessons when he was supposed to be teaching. He rarely marked our books, and when he did spent longer than any other teacher marking them. If all this wasn’t bad enough, he was always late for his lessons as well, we could be waiting at least 20 minutes for him to actually bother to turn up for the lesson - usually he was 1/3 of the lesson late.
Needless to say, my geography went down hill ever since I entered his class - I lost the interest that I had before. I began to fall behind, came lowest in most exams in his class. But the funny thing was, he couldn't send me down again. Think about it, he would look bad, I wish he had, so I could have had a decent teacher again. Oh well, I was stuck with him for the whole year. Great.
