My Bardic Heart

oh my tortured soul
my broken unhealed heart
never will feel love
i dont know where to start,
in my desperation
to find a love thats true
i made some bad decisions
or moved on to something new
as soon as love comes close
i cant stay in one place
i toss it all away
and hide my tear streaked face
i can let somebody get
about this...close you see
and then i hide of the rest
of the things that make up me
its trust...i know the answer
its the question i cant find
how can i let love slip by
is my heart truly that blind
oh when will i surrender
to someone loving me?
will i ever, let it go
or just die in misery
they took from me a lifetime
not just my childhood days
its affected everything i do
and set in motion all my ways
i see its effect on me
each time i take a breath
seems the quietest release
will come to me in death
But i will not surrender
never will they see
my lifetime all in shambles
from what they did to me
i will hold my head up high
and show the world my pride
i may still have some troubles
but i at least survived
