an ode to my birth mother
i have a love for you
that spans the course of time
the gift of life you gave me
for your loving touch i pine
i know you did for me
what you believed was best
and that your heart was broken
when they took me from your breast
i have so much to tell you
where i have journeyed matters nigh
i desire only you to hold me
and in your arms to cry
i could never tell you....
where my path has been
and i long for when i find you
to feel your love again
so to the woman who gave me life
i have one thing to say
your love for me i've felt
each and every day
i know my mother loved me
she gave me life you see
when should could have easily aborted
her courage is part of me
i have always felt
her love for me so strong
i cant wait to meet her
for this day i long................
i love you mom where ever you maybe....
until then Mother Earth is taking care of me
with tears........
