Local Events. This page is dedicated to keeping you informed on what's going on in the county. Updated at least weekly, you can count on this page for information on plays, celebrations, cultural events, etc. E-mail me if you have an event that you'd like added to this page. If it's early enough (preferably a month in advance), I'll also include it in a calander that's distributed widely throughout Provo and Orem.
Provo/Orem Schools. Here you can find links to all the schools in the Provo/Orem area as well as other county and state educational links and resources. Included are schools with websites, from k-12 through university level, both public and private.

Provo City. Provo City is the largest city in Utah County, about 45 min South of Salt Lake City. Their official site has many resources, if you can find them all. It could have a better layout. |

Provo City Library. Simple layout, not a large site. But you can telnet into the library and look up everything on their catalog. Soon you may even be able to reserve books that are checked out. |

Orem City is the twin city of Provo--in fact, it used to be called the Provo Bench. Now known as "Family City USA," Orem competes for business & industry with Provo, but the residents don't seem to distinguish much between the cities. This website is very helpful and has the information every city homepage should have. |

Springville High School. This is a great site--not just for a high school. 4 stars! Great layout and links, plenty of information about the school and the community. Don't miss the page on the Springville Art Museum. Also has the following page: |

Springville is a small city just to the south of Provo. Also known as "Art City" because of the art museum and sculptures along the town's main street. Very close to Provo and BYU, yet also close to the canyons where you can camp, fish and golf. |

Mapleton. An even smaller community Southeast of Springille, Mapleton has a more rural atmosphere that they're trying to preserve. Homes tend to be on larger lots, and prices are at least 20% more than most other communities in the valley. |
![]() | Santaquin. Named after an indian chief, Santaquin is the southernmost town in Utah County. It's also one of the fastest growing towns, because land prices and homes there are more affordable. |

Pleasant Grove is North of Orem, a small but pleasant city where, the world famous Strawberry Days take place each June (see events page). Each city in the county has its own celebration, but seriously, this one is well known. By the way, if you wander into the Southeast part of the city, you may never make your way out. |
![]() | Cedar Hills, one of the smallest communities in Utah County, lies nestled between the communities of Pleasant Grove, American Fork, and Highland. For a long time I thought of it as an overgrown subdivision, but perhaps it's beyond that now. |
![]() |
Highland is directly North of American Fork. This town tends to have wide open spaces, larger lots, and more expensive homes than some other communities. This is an official site. |

Eagle Mountain.Far from the rest of the area cities lies the "newest and largest (45 sq miles)" city in the state, even the West, they claim. The official site is like a slick brochure, but there's another site, like the community grapevine, that's more interesting and informative. |

Utah County Government. This site has resources for county-wide services and additional agencies serving the area. |

checked frequently for dead links and additional sites! A
comprehensive list. Local Sports. These are my links to local and area sports. Although currently it just includes spectator sports, it will soon include more. |
