Utah Real Estate & Resources

Utah Links

Official Utah State site
State of Utah. Utah's Official Home Page. This site has some good information and links--a decent place to start finding out about Utah. Also good p.r. for the governor.
official 2002 Olympics homepage.
Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Committee. The Winter Olympics are coming to Salt Lake and here's the official place to find out about it.
I-15 Reconstruction
Logo & Link
The Interstate-15 Site. In preparation for the Olympics, UDOT (Utah Dept. of Transportation) is re-building I-15 in Salt Lake County. It's a mess, and it can help lots to know where and when the construction is and which on-ramps and off-ramps are open. This is where you find out!
State of Utah DMV
Logo & Link Utah DMV For a Department of Motor vehicles, a surprisingly interesting site. A must-see if you're moving to Utah. If you collect license plates, you'll love this site (I liked it and I don't collect them). Invaluable resources for anyone who buys, sells, or drives vehicles.
Utah Transit Authority
Logo & Link
Utah Transit Authority. This is where you need to go to get info on public transportation, including bus schedules along the Wasatch Front and information on light rail.
Utah Travel Council
Logo & Link Utah Travel Council. Another official site in Utah, naturally oriented more towards tourists. If you just want to visit, this could be what you're looking for.
Salt Lake Convention
& Visitors Bureau
Visit Salt Lake. Official site of the Salt Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau. Nice pictures, but some other sites have more content.
Utah Highways Magazine. This is like the similarly named Arizona Highways Magazine. Here you can browse the on-line version or order the mailed one.
CitySearch Utah
CitySearch Utah. This site has alot of interesting content. You'll probably come back here more than once. Local events and links, updated daily. I'll include all the travel guide sites like this I can find, do some rating if I feel like it, and let you choose your favorite ones.
The Mining Company Utah
The Mining Co. They "mine" the web (specifically here, Utah) for you. Great site if you don't mind being stuck in their frames.
Roadside America Utah page.
Roadside America. Interested in the wierd, unusual, and bizarre stuff around Utah? Or anywhere else in America? Start here with the Utah sites, then go where your fancy takes you.
City.Net/Excite Utah search
City.Net Guide to Utah. Excite's travel guide to Utah. Not as much content as some, but you may be able to find something here that you couldn't anywhere else. What? You couldn't find it here? Let me know!
Explore Utah. This site is oriented towards those who like the outdoors and adventure. Quite a good site if that's where your interests lie.
Travel West. Although they have a searchable site, and even a page for Provo/Orem, this connects you with their Salt Lake City page because it's the most interesting.
Official LDS Church Site
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons). What visit to or study of Utah would be complete without a visit to the headquarters of the Mormon Church? Find out more about the church here.
Mormon Homepage. This is an unofficial, unauthorized site about the church created by good members (who happen to live away from Utah). Excellent resource for members and other interested individuals who would like to know more about church beliefs, theology, history, or many other topics. In some ways it's better than the official site! A five star site.
Provo/Orem area. This is my area--the twin cities in Utah County. Links and resources for these cities and many others in the area.
Utah Media. This is a link to my media page. Find out about local newspapers and broadcast media here. Like all my pages, this one is checked frequently for dead links and additional sites! A comprehensive list.
Local Sports. These are my links to local and area sports. Although currently it just includes spectator sports, it will eventually include more.

Utah State and Utah County Business Links

My Real Estate Page. This page includes valuable information and links about real estate, including all the information you need to know to buy or sell a home in Utah. This site is also informative for anyone thinking of making a real estate transaction.
Provo/Orem Chamber of Commerce
The Provo-Orem Chamber of Commerce. This is a pretty good site for finding out about business in the area.
Utah Business Magazine. The title is self-descriptive.
Novell. Utah County, especially Provo/Orem, is a software mecca second only to Silicon Valley. The biggest player in the area is Novell. I can remember when Novell (and WordPerfect, for that matter) were fairly small. In a former business I had one of the original six workers at Novell as a client.
NuSkin Enterprises
NuSkin. Ranked Seven in the top 100 public companies in Utah, NuSkin is an international compay with three divisions: NuSkin, Big Planet, and Pharmanex. The primary business is a networking organization that sells skin care products. An official sponsor of the 2002 Winter Olympics; sponsor of the Olympic Spirit Award for the years 2000-2004.
If you would like your business or organization included here, e-mail me. I'll review your site so I can say something about it and decide if it would fit in with the concept of this page.

Utah Politics

Go to the White House The White House. Although not strictly a Utah link, this site is educational and the Federal Government does have a huge affect on our lives.
Go see Senator Hatch Orrin Hatch. The Senior Senator from Utah. He's got power and influence and has done many things for the nation and Utah. But I believe in term limits and think he's lost touch with the state and his conservative roots. He's even co-sponsored legislation with Ted Kennedy. That says it all. You can e-mail Hatch.
Go see Senator Bennett Bob Bennett. A freshman Senator from Utah, Bob has been given some surprising positions and respect in his first term. I guess that shows you don't have to be in Washington D.C. for twenty years before you can be effective. You can e-mail Bob.
Pop on over to Chris' Site Chris Cannon. Chris represents Utah's 3rd Congressional District, which includes the Provo/Orem area. He's in his second term, and sat on the House Judiciary Committee and represented his constituents well by voting to impeach Mr Clinton. This district has often been called the most conservative, Republican district in the nation. You can e-mail Chris, too.
