Chilton

This family tree of the Chiltons has its known beginnings in England. The family moved to Virginia at an early day and since then have spread all over the United States. My limb of the tree went to Tennessee and then later branched into Missouri.

Sue, North Wales  (billygoatsgriff @ btinternet.com) Henry James Chilton b-Abt. 1851 Mill End, Hertfordshire, England. Worked for the railway. Had 4 daughters and 7 sons. All the sons worked on the railway mainly in the Cheshire and North Wales area.
Suzanne----James Chilton born circa 1860 in Staffordshire, England. 
Christine Howison----Henry CHILTON from England(don't know what part) b-around 1830. He married Bridget LOUGHNANE who came from Ireland (don't know what part) in 1860 in Sydney, Australia. His occupation on his marriage certificate is given as Bootmaker.

----William and Thomas birth estimate is the same year (1752).
----Diana Cruz thinks Thomas Boggs parentts may be Mark Chilton b-1754. She notes the similarity of family names in the descendants.
----Wallace Hopper thought Thomas Boggs CChilton was descended from James Chilton (b-1740) and his second wife. Is there any evidence, circumstancial or otherwise to support this? Although Hopper did a good job overall, he made several mistakes in his cronology and was unaware of other Chiltons in the Tennessee area. It is beginning to appear more likely that Boggs and siblings were the children of Mark Chilton.
----Frank Chilton thinks Joshua Chilton bb-1796 was descended from James Chilton (b-1740) and his second wife.
----The Missouri Chiltons are included unnder the family of Mark Chilton although a written link has not been found at this time. Through the process of elimination, the other families have all been accounted for, these Missouri families were in the same geographical area as everyone else in Tennessee, and as Diana Cruz points out, the similarity of family names in the descendants is very strong circumstancial evidence of a direct family relationship.
