5. Sarah³ Rippee (Edward²Rippy, Edward¹Rippey) was born on 28 Apr 1789 at Rutherford County, North Carolina.³ She married Valentine Martin on 24 Dec 1808 at Cleveland County, North Carolina. She died on 18 Oct 1868 at Lawrence County, Tennessee, at age 79.⁵

6. Edward Ross³ Rippy III (Edward², Edward¹Rippey) was born in 1791 at Rutherford County, North Carolina. He married Mary Martin, daughter of William Martin and Hannah Irvin, on 31 May 1810 at Lincoln, North Carolina. He married Selena Hopper, daughter of Charles Hopper and Barbara Sarratt, on 4 Jun 1840. He married Margaret Roach, daughter of Joseph Roach and Jane (--?--), on 25 Jan 1848. He married Elizabeth Nee in Nov 1865. He died on 15 May 1874.

OCCUPATION: See Revolutionary Pension Application of Edward Rippy (father) Edward Rippy, Jr., was Justice of the Peace in Rutherford County, North Carolina in 1832, relationship to soldier not shown, nor is the name of soldier's wife given. He was also known as Squire Ned.⁵

iii. Lucinda;⁵^,⁵^,⁵ born 21 Sep 1815;⁵ married Posey Martin 1841;⁵ died 26 Jul 1912 at age 96.⁵

She was also known as Cindy.⁵
8. iv. James Dry, born 17 Sep 1817 at North Carolina; married Minerva Rippy.
v. Mary;⁵^,⁵^,⁵ born 27 Mar 1820;⁵ died Oct 1825 at Cherokee County, South Carolina, at age 5.⁵

7. Mastin Martin³ Rippy (Edward², Edward¹Rippey)⁵ was born on 12 Oct 1802 at Rutherford County, North Carolina.¹¹ He married Mary Arnold on 18 Jun 1820 at North Carolina. He died on 3 Dec 1892 at Cherokee County, South Carolina, at age 90.⁵
