Some of the Club's major projects include:

In December 1999 Oatley Lions pledged $25,000 towards the building of the Research and Education Centre at St George Hospital Kogarah, over a period of five years.

In 1998 Oatley Lions were approached to assist in the construction cost of an after hours care centre. This complex, referred to as OOSH  (Out of School Hours), is to a centre for the care of children in a supervised environment. The Lions contributed $10,000. The centre which is located at the Oatley Public School, was officially opened in 2000.

Oatley Lions initiated a joint project with other Lions Clubs and organizations

 During the bushfires in 1998 on the outskirts of Sydney Oatley Lions contributed $10,000.

An 11 year old, Daniel suffers from Morquis Syndrome. He required a special wheelchair to attend classes at the local High School without too much difficulty.

This was a joint project with Kyle Bay Lions Club. The two Lions Clubs each contributed $1500 towards the cost of the specially designed electric wheelchair.

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Lions in Australia, Oatley Lions Club established a fund to provide grants to the 12 local schools.

Locals schools were asked to nominate a project which would benefit their students.

Projects included funding for computer equipment, scanners, digital cameras, outdoor furniture and library books.

Overall over $8,000 was donated to these schools.
