Fall arrives at the Abbey/White house

It's fall at the Abbey/White house and the youngest member of the family has discovered the joys of fresh apples.

"I knew he like apples, but this is ridiculous," said Tamara Abbey, Alex White's mother. "I come in here and he's surrounded by apple juice and three half-eaten apples!"

White found the whole thing rather amusing, but then he changed his tune one day when he gave Alex an unpeeled apple.

"I guess I'll have to peel them first," he said as he picked up bits of apple peel from the carpet. "I didn't realize he'd pick it all off like that."

White ate as many as four apples a day - definitely more than the doctor ordered. But, it was nice to see him enjoy something so healthy. It probably won't last long, though, his mother noted.

"He received more than enough Halloween candy this year," Abbey said. "Now he wakes up in the morning saying, 'nandy, nandy'."

As long as he balances the candy with the apples, he should be o.k., though.
