~God is Lonely ~

1) Yesterday I was driving, and this thought came to my mind"God is lonely." I scoffed at that thought, and said in my mind "How can You be lonely? You have created all of these people to keep You company." And, this still small voice said "But I'm lonely for YOU." He was saying that He missed ME! ME? I cried out and asked forgiveness for taking Him for granted, for taking His power for granted.


2) Today He solidified this in my mind; I am a dog lover, and am blessed with two wonderful pets. He gave me this analogy, because He knows I really love my dogsIf, after I got my dogs, they didn't want to have anything to do with me, I'd be devastated. They'd come to me for meals, shelter and water, but then go about their own lives, not caring whether I was their companion or not. (I realize the analogy isn't the greatest ... I'm not giving my dogs human attributes, and I don't compare dogs to humans ... but I have great joy because of these two knotheads.)


God really does love us as individuals ... hard to fathom, but I'll take it!!
