Celly Cel - Killa Kali
Reviewed By: Blutarski
- The intro. Celly Cel spits some quick flows to a nice beat. The track is only a minute
and a half long. A pretty good little intro to the album. I'm feeling it.
- The production on this track is perfect. The beat is tight and the background affects
are clean. Celly Cel flows and makes this track have a dark feel to it. It has that old
school feel to it. This is one of my favorite tracks on the album. I'm feeling it.
- Just three 707 natives rippin up the mic. Celly Cel starts it off with a coo little
flow. E-40 comes with his tight flow and then B-Legit comes tight as well. The production
is alright, but I'm feeling the lyrics more than the production. They just flow about
getting that scrilla. A tight lyric track. I'm feeling it.
- The best track on the album, no doubt. This and the remix has to be the best Celly Cel
tracks of all time. The beat is just too sicc and Celly Cel and Kerry come with some
tight lyrics. Nothing but tight shit on this track. My favorite track on the album.
- Back to the solo tracks with this one. Celly Cel comes pretty tight. The beat is alright,
but nothing special really. The hook is alright, but I'm not really feeling it too much.
This is still a coo track. I like Celly Cel's flow on this one. A decent track
overall.
- The production is pretty clean on this one. A typical Celly Cel style track. He flows
about being a bullet. A pretty coo angle to rap about. Celly Cel spits some tight flows
and the production fits in well. A good track overall, I'm feeling it.
- Both Celly Cel and Spice 1 come tight on this track. The production is clean and the
beat gets you into the track. Celly Cel starts it off and they trade off verses
throughout the track. A very tight track. Another one of my favorites. Both come tight
on this one.
- A Celly Cel calls up this girl and invites her over. She says some shit about him after
he hangs up the phone. Just an interlude.
- The interlude leads into this track. Celly Cel flows about skandless girls. The beat
is tight and I'm feeling Celly Cel's flow. He spits some clean lyrics. I'm feeling this
track overall.
- Celly Cel flows about not forgetting where you came from. The beat is pretty good and
I'm feeling the production. This track gets your head moving as Celly rips up the mic.
Another good topic to flow about. I'm feeling this track to the fullest.
- The title track has some heat to it. Celly flows about the murders in California. The
production is good, although the beat isn't that good to me. Celly spits some tight
flows and I'm feeling this track overall.
- More of a slower beat to this one, but it's still tight. The beat is sicc and I'm
feeling the productin. Celly flows at a medium pace, but right along with the beat.
Everything is tight on this track. I'm feeling it.
- The final track has more good production and a tight beat. Celly spits more of those
tight lyrics. It sounds a lot like most of the other tracks on this album, but I'm
still feeling it. A very good to end the album with.
Overall this album has definate heat to it. Although it's not quite as good as "The G
Filez" I still think this album is very tight. Celly spits clean lyrics throughout the
album and there is nothing but top quality production. He picks some good topics to flow
about. If you are a Bay Area rap fan then you need to get this one. I'm feeling this
album. Go get it!
