Spice 1 - Let it Be Known
Reviewed By: Blutarski

  1. Ant Banks give Spice a little intro and then the legend begins. With this EP Spice 1 starts off on a great career in the rap game. This track has a good bass line and old school feel to it. Spice 1 shows his Oakland style on this track as he rips up the mic. A great track overall. A classic.

  2. The production by Ant Banks is great on this track. Spice 1 know what to do with a good beat and rips up the mic. The hook isn't very good, but Spice more than makes up for that with his flow. He spits lyrics about his arrival in the rap game. A tight ass track minus the hook.

  3. A nice slow paced beat that gets your head moving and Spice just spits some tight lyrics. Spice shows with this track that he can flow just as good on a slower pace. Spice flows about the unkillable 187 proof gangstas. A tight ass track that would be later remixed on the "Criminalz" album.

  4. Spice spits some great lyrics on this track, many of them are pretty funny actually. The track starts off with a 1-900 call by Spice. The track is pretty short, but he still rips up the track. The beat isn't that great, but still has some knocc to it.

  5. An old school type of track, but of course this album was made in 1988 so I guess it makes old school by default. Spice rips up the mic with a medium paced flow. The production is pretty good by Ant Banks, but most importantly it's perfect for Spice's flow. Overall this is just a great old jam.

  6. The only track that has a featuring on it. MC Ant and Spice trade lyrics to start the track off. Spice comes in to a good beat and rips up the mic with a fast pace flow. Spice and Ant just came to break something off. MC Ant comes with heat in the second verse. Both team together to make this my favorite track on the EP. A great track overall.

  7. The EP ends with this sicc ass track. A more of a slow paced beat, but Spice 1 can flow on any kind of beat and this one is no exception. The beat may be slow, but it gets your head moving to Spice's flow. A perfect end to a great EP and the start of a great career.

Overall this is one of the best old school albums of all time. The beats and flows have that perfect old school feel and yet they are good enough to fit in with today's style as well. Ant Banks laces Spice 1 with some tight beats and Spice 1 just rips up the mic and show himself to the world. Hard to find, but if you can get your hands on a copy go for it, you won't be dissapointed.
