Spice 1 - Spice 1
Reviewed By: Blutarski

  1. Spice 1 drops his first full length album with a great opening track. An old school type of track, but of course this track was made in 1988 so I guess it makes old school by default. Spice rips up the mic with a medium paced flow. The production is pretty good by Ant Banks, but most importantly it's perfect for Spice's flow. Same track as off of "Let it Be Known."

  2. A nice slow paced beat that gets your head moving and Spice just spits some tight lyrics. Spice shows with this track that he can flow just as good on a slower pace. Spice flows about the unkillable 187 proof gangstas. A tight ass track that's remixed on the "Criminalz" album. Also on "Let it Be Known."

  3. The first new track on the album. A sweet beats comes on and Spice spits some tight flows about the East Bay. Good hardcore gangsta lyrics spit on this track. A tight track overall.

  4. The beat sounds like one of those '70s soul type of songs. Spice 1 comes with some heat. Not a great track to get your head moving, but still has some great lyrics and nice production. A good track overall.

  5. Like 1-900-S.P.I.C.E. on "Let it Be Known" Spice makes a call to start off the track. Then the beat kicks in and he flow reggea style. His voice has a raggae feel to it already, but he goes entirely reggea with gangsta lyrics. A good concept and Spice pulls it off nicely.

  6. A good beat that gets you into it and Spice spits some fast paced lyrics with strait heat. One of my favorite tracks on the album just cause of the pure flows spit by Spice. A sicc track overall.

  7. My favorite track on the album. The beat is just perfect with the background instruments and Spice comes with some tight ass lyrics. I can't really say much more than that. You gotta listen to it to feel it.

  8. The single from the album. A lot of heart and reality incorportated on this track. Spice flows strait from the heart on this one. Some deep and dark lyrics. A heart to heart from Spice. A great track overall.

  9. The beat gets your head moving to some old school shit by Spice. I can't say more about it cause it's just one of those tracks you have to hear to know what's it like. A sicc track overall though.

  10. A slower pace on this track. Spice has a relaxed type of a flow as he spits some more of that old school gangsta shit. I'm feeling this track to the fullest. Not the best track on the album, but still has some heat.

  11. The EP ends with this sicc ass track, so Spice put it on here as well. A more of a slow paced beat, but Spice 1 can flow on any kind of beat and this one is no exception. The beat may be slow, but it gets your head moving to Spice's flow. A pretty good track overall.

  12. Spice spits some great lyrics on this track, many of them are pretty funny actually. The track starts off with a 1-900 call by Spice. The track is pretty short, but he still rips up the track. The beat isn't that great, but still has some knocc to it. Also on "Let it Be Known."

  13. The only track that has a feature on it. MC Ant and Spice trade lyrics to start the track off. Spice comes in to a good beat and rips up the mic with a fast pace flow. MC Ant comes with heat in the second verse. It was my favorite track on the EP and comes close to it on here. A great track overall.

  14. After putting three tracks from "Let it Be Known" Spice finishes the album with this track. He uses 187 again and makes as solid of a track as 187 Proof. The beat isn't as good, but the entire track still knoccs. A sweet track to end the album with.

Overall this is one of Spice's best albums just for the old school attitude it has. A lot of these tracks are hard to top and the production by Ant Banks is excellent. If you don't have it get somehow, you won't be dissapointed.
