Hickam Hurricanes
is in need of a Head Coach starting July
1st. If you want to work with a great group of kids
with lots of potential, then the Hurricanes is a team for
you. Previous coaching experience is desirable .
The team also has an immediate opening for an
assistance coach. No previous coaching experience

Jeff Thompson (Head Coach)
Coaching Experience: Mercury Aquatics (MERC-NI) Head
Coach (1997-2004), Livonia High School Varsity Men's' and Women's'
Teams (1997-2004), Maidstone Club Swimming Professional/Head Surf
Lifeguard (1999-2004).
Swimming Experience: 17 years of USA swimming
experience as a coach and competitor. He was a Captain and 5-letter
varsity athlete in swimming at Livonia High School in upstate New
York, a dual gold medalist in the S10 50 and 100 meter freestyle, and
a former S10 50 meter freestyle American Recorder Holder.
Bio: Jeff came to Hawaii in the late summer of 2004
from New York. His background includes over 8 years of coaching
experience in USA Swimming (Niagara District) and New York State High
School Athletics. His teams have competed at the State and Zone
levels, and his high school team enjoyed a record of over 130
consecutive wins over 10 league seasons. Currently he works for the
State of Hawaii as a teacher, and the State of New York as a Suffolk
County Surf Lifeguard.
