This is ZhongDian, my favorite city out of all the cities I visited. Probably because of the friendliness of the poeople, the rich cultural background of Buddhist/lama believes and the cold weather too :) Yes, I love winter hehe. And I can play with snow! What more could I ask for? ^_--

This was the first place we visited after we arrived at Zhongdian. It was cold but the scenary was just so strikingly beautiful that I can't keep my hands off my camera! This is the lama temple with two living buddhas actually living in there. I was lucky enough to meet one of them and got blessing from him. It was a very interesting experience for me, as I have never came close to any experience like that in my life. There are lots of rules though. For instance, women can not stand close to any lama monks to take photos, you have to enter the temple with your left feet, and come out with your right feet. Odd numbers are considered to be lucky numbers here. Lama are not vegetarians, but they can not cook food for themselves, and animals can not be eaten on the same day of its killings. I was amazed of the degree of strong believes amongst the citizens who believed in this religion. The driver of my coach told me, if the living buddha asked him to kill himself, he would. That is the amount of faith (perhaps?) or strong believes in these people. I fascinate that.

These are the scenaries that I mentioned which I cannot keep my hands off my camera. To me, they are very beautiful and rare to see. I'm sure I can find them in books, but being there, experiencing the cold and see it with your own eyes are very different. You can really feel the mother nature's greatness, and I always stare in awe in such creation of the Earth.

Behind me, is the TigerValley. The water runs down this valley very quickly. The name was named after a myth. Once upon a time, there was a hunter who was chasing a tiger to this valley. There is a big gap between the mountains. Luckily the tiger used the boulders in the river, to use as stepping stones to escape the hunter, therefore it was named TigerValley. This is another must I think. You have to walk down a lot of stairs to get to the river, as you go down, you can see people selling herbal medicine, drinks, accessories and so on. But the hardest thing is the climb back up those stairs.. pretty tiring. There were people who would carry a seat to transport people up and down the mountains for a price of 30 yuan (about AU$6). That looks pretty hardwork, and yet it only cost that little. Most of the things in China are very cheap too. Especially embrodiery that would a lot of time to produce, they are being paid for a low price. But people's living standard are not as high as western countries of course..
