Before ever taking a step on the trail, I received support from people all over the country in every form. I'd like to thank all of the people that have given pledges to Pathways for my journey. Without each of your generous donations, this dream would still exist only in my mind.

Thank you to all of my friends and family for supporting me with your pledges and presence as you follow my journey and travel to meet me on the trail.

I'd like to thank Pathways-Life After Cancer for the opportunity to make this trek. Both clientele and board members at Pathways have given me great courage and support.

My dad stayed home last year to care for my mom. I'd like to thank my dad for his commitment and for letting me take over his house for a month while I stood in my pajamas and hiking boots weighing six-months worth of rations.

Thank you to Karen Fox for writing to her community on my behalf. With her kind words, Karen rallied support from people whom I haven't yet met. She also snuck me into Sam's Club.

I'd like to thank Michael Lucchesi for his advice and help in reaching the School District of Milton. He helped me get the word out to my mom's colleagues and friends.

I'd like to thank Frank and Nancy Bell Sr. for helping me put the word out in the camp community. I'd also like to thank Pastor Wendt for informing the First English Lutheran Church of Whitewater about my journey.

A tremendous thank you goes to the following people for generous gear donations: Gary Eblen of Diamond Brand Outdoors, James Mills of Outdoor Professionals, and Jennifer Nemecek of Smartwool.

Thank you to Amanda Proffitt of Studio 116 Salon of Asheville for enduring great drama to cut my hair and donate it to Locks of Love.

I'd like to thank Kevin Fox for standing beside me through my Mom’s illness and supporting me unconditionally while I planned for this walk. Kevin listens, suggests, and understands in all of the right amounts. He is eternally patient and knows me better than anyone else.

Thank you to Warren Wilson College for funding and personal support.

I'd like to thank the staff at the Key Center for Service-Learning at the University of North Carolina--Asheville for providing me resources and office space as if I were part of the crew.

Thank you to Dale Roberts, wizard of the Key Center, for believing in me. Dale helped me connect with Pathways-Life After Cancer and the Asheville Citizen-Times. He has been my problem solver, mentor, and friend.

I'd like to thank Morgan and Melissa Davis for resurrecting, reconstructing, and maintaining this website for the duration of my hike. Without their help, none of you would know how much I appreciate you.
