It's been raining steadily since the middle of the night. Misting, then sprinkling, then raining a bit harder. We stopped briefly for lunch and have weaseled our way into staying at Standing Indian Shelter. When I arrived, I felt like Goldilocks. There were six sleeping bags laid out and no one to be seen. No voices, no movement. It turns out that everyone was just hunkered down trying to stay warm in their bags. Kari and Matt, who stayed here all day to wait out the rain, made sure that Liddell and I had room to stay when we arrived. It's another smelly sandwich sleeping night, but I feel lucky to be warm and dry. I'm excited by the generosity of everyone out here.
