Up and over Saddleback Mountain today. Three peaks in the last afternoon. The terrain is going to get easier again soon. Pasta packed in Shipyard Export and brownies to share with Fender and me. His friends Olaf and Fran were there, too. Watched a gorgeous sunset atop Saddleback Jr. Excellent views from both Saddleback and the Horn. Supposedly, Katahdin was visible from Saddleback. It's about 150 miles away--214 trail miles.
There have been a lot of college freshmen orientation groups out. Warren Wilson should do their orientation off campus. I've seen students from Harvard and Colby mostly. The weather feels very autumnal; I love it. Perfect weather and crisp views.
