Another spectacular day. Another month gone. Went over Lone Mountain and Sugarloaf Mountain today. I managed to walk (and sweat) non-stop over a few mountains. Fourteen miles and a long nap to boot. The wind started picking up this evening as I came down Sugarloaf. I watched a lightning show as I cooked mac-n-cheese and pistachio pudding. The wind is really picking up now and the thunder is rolling in. I'm waiting for the storm. I hope that the rocks dry tomorrow as I have to do eight miles before noon for a mail drop. I met Patch today. He flip-flopped: hiked North from Springer to Harpers Ferry and South from Katahdin to Harpers Ferry. A lot of hikers are doing that now. Anyway, Patch was a really neat guy.
