The Golden Rule:

Everything that's found on my archive is here because I have obtained the permission of the authors to put their works up. No one is allowed to take anything from this archive for any reason whatsoever unless the authors permit it. If at anytime, an author wants me to take their works off my archive, just drop me an email  and I'll do so as soon as possible.
 

Archiver's Rule:

  • Do not ask me to archive your stuff.
I can't bear the thought of having to turn down an author's request to have his/her works archived here because I feel that their work is 'not good enough'. You'd probably find me archiving bad works out of guilt. Worse, I don't want to be lynched by extremely upset authors because I refuse to archive their work.
 

You mean it's impossible to get on your page?

Not exactly. For authors whose works are already up at my archive, you can ask me to look at your works. If you have proven that you are a good author, I won't have to worry about you sending me bad works.
 

How do I get my works archived if I'm not an author on your page?

I'm always looking for new stuff to archive, which I get in several different ways.
  • Recommendations

    • If someone else [especially someone I know] recommends a fanfic to me, I'll probably take a look at it. I've gotten several fanfics this way from my emailpals [you know who you are]. With someone acting as a middle-man of sorts, I won't have to be afraid of hurting the author's feelings if I reject their works since the author never knew of it.
  • Rurouni Kenshin Fanfiction Mailing Lists

    • This is the best chance of getting your stuff on my page, since I skim through almost everything in the mailing list.
If I like what I've read, I'll contact you. If not, it's highly possible that I haven't come across your fanfic yet.

Stuff I won't take:

Violence doesn't bother me, neither does homosexual relationships. I'll just mark them out for the readers. You can write any story you want, as long as it's interesting and well-written, I'll ask to archive it. However:
  • The stories must be about Rurouni Kenshin or Rurouni Kenshin related characters. You can have as many crossover characters as you like so long as at least of one the main/secondary  characters from the fanfic is associated with Rurouni Kenshin.
  • No attacking real people. That includes fanfics that flame a real person, for example, Watsuki-sensei, the voice actors/actresses, the anime producers etc. Sweet Revenge  sneaked into my archive because it didn't really mention names, except for the SASS members who agreed to be brought into the fanfic.
  • I tend not to accept fanfics with too much spelling or grammatical errors. [I'm too lazy to correct them.]

If you agree to let me archive your stuff when I ask for it:

  • Tell me what name you want it under.
  • Tell me the email address at which you would like all comments to be directed to you.
  • Let me know if you want me to include a link to your personal fanfiction pages.
  • If you'd like to include a short author's biography, you can send it to me, I'll put it up.
  • Feel free to send me new chapters as they are finished.
  • If you want to send me the HTMLized version of your fanfics, go right on ahead. Some authors do send me their fics that way. Most of the time, I'll just put up the fics the way they are sent to me, be it in TEXT or HTML form.
  • If you want to write your own story summaries, please do so! Often, I do not know where the story is heading and what I write may not be accurate.
  • Never forget your disclaimers! Don't forget Nobuhiro Watsuki owns all Rurouni Kenshin and related characters. Give him the credit he deserves.
