TOP STORY: Charles V Assasinated in Orenburg!
Orenburg - A terrible crisis has emerged within the House of Regents and more
importantly the House of Habsburg as Charles V, who ascended the throne after
King Ferdinand and Queen Vittoria retired, was murdered in Orenburg. The
King had just wrapped up new border talks as well as trade and technology
discussions with interim Khan Easthaven X of Mongolia. According to an
official Royal Decree the murderer was an Ethnic Mongolian Khazar named Ulaan
Tamujin, who was angered at the new treaty signed with Khan Easthaven X. As
the House of Habsburgs have no male heirs other than Phillip II, a boy of
only 7, the brother of Queen Vittoria was named King in Venice. The New King
Cosimo D'Medici, and son of former King Lorenzo D'Medici will be the first
Medici in centuries to hold the throne that was created by his grandfather
Carlo D'Medici. "This marks a new day for the Adriatic League, the Medici
have regained their rightful place" said the new King "It is time to make a
lot of changes, and mend a lot of fences, under the Habsburgs our reputation
has seen a dramatic decrease as far as other nations are concerned, as King I
will make strides to change this." This comes in the wake of the most recent
and destructive assaults by Europa Rebels, many are interested to see how the
new King will handle this situation among others.

Thousands Travel to Bosporus to Hear Oracle!
Bosporus - A new religious revival was felt throughout the Mediterranean
world as thousands from Mali, Israel and Europe flock to Bosporus to meet the
Oracle. The varitable "melting pot" of the western World, Bosporus connects
Asia, Europe and via the Mediterranean Africa into one of the most ethnically
diverse as well as theoligically important cities in the world. With the new
Oracle, this could become even stronger. "Throughout the League there has
been a religious revival" said new King Cosimo D'Medici "The citizenry,
despite the latest internal strife, are happier than ever." At this time the
Oracle has no known name, he also refuses to name his temple. Word has it
that he believes himself to be the descendant of one of Christ's apostles,
but this rumor has yet to be confirmed as of press time.
Stockholm Destroyed by Europa Rebels!
Helsinki - Thousands of refuges from accross the bay of Bothnia enter the
port of Helsinki today, losing their homes, and their lives to an ideological
war. "The Rebels had gained control of the city some years ago, some stayed,
most left, after word came in that a battle was to take place [the citizens]
left on ships to Finland" said one Stockholm Denizen. Years ago the city
fell under control of Europa rebels, who were refused a Regency by the House
of Habsburg, only weeks ago did Royal forces retake the city, at which point
a great battle ensued. Nearly all of the citizens of Stockholm fled to
Helsinki, those that didn't joined the ranks of the Europa Republicans; "The
men of Stockholm should be proud, they stood up to the tyrannical Habsburg
regime and defeated them" said General Garibaldi who led the rebel faction in
Stockholm. After razing the city to the ground, the rebel forces seem to be
heading north, supposedly to round the bay of Bothnia for Helsinki, however
this too can not be confirmed.
Transcontinental Road Completed!
Amsterdam - After centuries of laborious back breaking work the
Transcontinetal Road has been completed. "This road is going to help the
League more than any other project currently on the books" said King Cosimo
D'Medici "New Trade and easier movement between the various Duchies has been
procured forever." The road which stretches from Orsoni in central Eurasia,
to Amsterdam in Western Europe includes Orsoni, Savona, Khazar, Orenburg,
Navarre, Caspiari, Moscow, Porta Donua, Warsaw, Bucharesti, Athens, Bosporus,
Vienna, Berlin, Venice and Amsterdam. Including numerous offshoots to cities
such as Monaco and Riga.

Panama Canal Blocked by Adriatic Navy, Australia takes offense!
Panama Territory, Australia - Adriatic Officers announced the blockade on the
Panama Canal on June 7, 300. Despite earlier guesses, there was little to no
international complaints about this, except from Australia. "I don't quite
understand the problem Australia has" said Regent Vittorio Emanuele "They
have their own Canal to navigate, this is none of their concern." Despite
this tensions mounted when Australian officials threatened to remove the
ships from the area, at which point the Mali Navy entered in order to ensure
this did not occur. Thus far no resolution has been met, however the
tensions seemed to have died down since the initial incident.
Military Build-up Continues Between Adriatics and Mongols!
Kabul, Mongolia - The "Cold War" between Mongolia and the Adriatic League has
heated up as of late. With the recent war of words in North America, and the
latest issues with the Panama Canal and Australia, its seems more and more
certain that hostilities will continue to mount between these two world
powers. Months ago Adriatic forces encraoched upon Mongolian territory,
comming within the city limits of Kabul and Mongol Capital Samarkand. Then
an interesting thing occured, Khan Ray King became ill, his advisor Easthaven
X became interim Khan and made a peaceful agreement with the Adriatic League.
Technology was exchanged, new borders drawn, and bans lifted. The border
was redrawn slightly westward, the Adriatics recieved Chivalry and Medicine,
and the Mongols were allowed access to the Panama Canal for five hundred
years. Maps were also rumored to have been exchanged. "I think the latest
dealings have been positive, despite his early death I believe Charles was on
the right road towards good relations with Mongolia" said King Cosimo
D'Medici "I hope Khan Ray King gets better, so we can begin establishing good
relations with our Eurasian neighbors."
Dimbleby the Wise Deposed!
Jerusalem, Israel - Famed King of Israel Dimbleby the Wise's reign came to an
end, when Zionic Radical Sun Tzu led a revolution against his Republican
government. "Dimbleby was an indecisive ruler" said one unnamed Rebel "He
didn't attempt any expansion, and let the Mongols rule over us on the Eastern
border, Sun Tzu will change this!" Dimbleby was a benevolent leader, who
didn't fight a single war, nor attmepted to rule over his people completely,
in his later years he attempted to form a Republican government, but the
citizens believed it to be weak and the Radical "Lukid" party took control
and established control and put Sun Tzu (known as "the Cruel") into a
position of control. The Adriatic League will remain allies with the new
Israeli government. It is said that after Dimbleby's "weak" Republic, and
his refusal to allow the Mali to access the Suez for trade purposes, the
Israeli people called for a new leader.
Tensions Cool in North America Between China, Mali and Mongolia!
Ft. Mopti, Mali Nation-State - A war of words, brought on mainly by Adriatic
officials has ended in peace in the Americas. The issue came about when
Mongolian settlements were discovered within the Chinese Land Grant.
Promptly ushering then King Ferdinand of Habsburg (Adriatic League) to
rescind his agreement towards the Chinese Grant, the Mali quickly followed
suit. Following that a war of words ensued, involving the Pacific Pact,
Adriatic League and the Mali Nation-State. Threats were made, war was
alluded to but a peace was finally reached. The agreement says that a
straight line will be drawn down Longtitude 18, all land in North America to
the east will be the Mali land (with exception to lands under Adriatic
control by treaty or otherwise) and all land west will be Chinese (with
exception to lands under Adriatic and Mongolian control by treaty or
otherwise).

home to the world's largest library can now boast yet another feat; the
world's best War Academy. This new school, which should bolster the
lackluster Australian armed forces, will train all of Australia's finest
generals and develop new methods of field warfare.

Is Australia stronger than we expect? Are they more ambitious than we expect?
Perhaps we aren't looking far enough east when we eye the Mongolian troops
stacked along our border. In the past we have seen the Australians as more
or less the enforcer of the Pacific Pact, while the others were the
mouthpeice, this has changed recently. Their troops to city ratio is quite
low, the lowest in the world as a matter of fact, however recently a marked
change has occured; Australia has grown some (although small) fangs.
Consider the last few years of international incidents, in the Americas where
I gained my status and actually had a city named after me, the Australians
were the only thing keeping the Adriatic League from recieving their initial
claim in Mexico which prompted the hostilities that nearly led to war, if
Australia would have asserted their needs a little more war could have been
the result. The Panama Canal; Australia establishes their own Canal and then
threatens action against the Adriatic League's naval blockade of the Panama
Canal. Another example of how Australia could have caused another war had
Mali ships not entered the area. The latest fact; the construction of a War
Academy in Broken Hill. This new Academy will make awesome tacticians out of
Australia's generals and soldiers without having fought a battle, can you
imagine! Veritable veterans with no actual battle experience, it gives them a
huge edge over any military on the planet. The top three armies (Adriatic
League, Mongolia and the top Zulu) should keep a wary eye towards the south
Pacific, someone may be looking to dethrone them.
