During this period HMYC became known as one of the finest inland sailing venues and offered excellent race organisation, under the "watchful eye" of race officers like Prof. Wog Hawksworth, who is a South African Sailing representative.

Although the membership today is smaller than in the past, the club still enjoys its high reputation as a sailing venue. Dinghy
sailing has been on the decline during the past few years but we are pleased to see a comeback of late, especially in the Laser and
Sprog classes. This said keelboating remains the dominant interest, with the Hunter class being the most popular. Whilst quiet
during the weekdays, the weekends always see plenty of action at the club in various forms.
When you're in the area why not pop in at the club for a visit. We would welcome any opportunity to show you around and introduce you to the characters
that
make up the friendly and successful Henley Midmar Yacht Club.
