Find CS

There are a lot of places to find CS, the most common one is probably just anywhere on the net. Since the game started off as just a mod for half-life it was free, but then Valve decided to talk to the company who made counter-strike and I guess they became partners and Valve sold counter-strike in stores, but the game is still available to download legally. Probably the 2 best places to download counter-strike would be www.counter-strike.net or www.fileplanet.com. Counter-strike.net will give you many locations to download from as will fileplanet. I think fileplanet is a little bit easier to get the download from, but you have to wait in line for your download to start. It was a 45 minute wait for me when I was trying to get counter-strike. There are still many other places on the web to download it. All you need to do is check a search engine. I'm sure though that either of the two sites listed above will work.

The other way to get counter-strike is simply to buy it. You do not have to have half-life to play counter-strike. A lot of the other mods do, but cs doesn't have to. Some prices for the game are:

Those are probably the most common gaming stores on the net. I am not sure if I'm missing any and I probably am I just can't think of them right now, but as you can see the game is still at 30 dollars. So you make the choice go out and spend 30 dollars or download it for free.
