ATHEISTS DESERVE A SANCTUARY, TOO!

One of the traditional roles of traditional churches has been as a "sanctuary," as when Quasimodo carries the gypsy girl to safety. During the Vietnam war, members of certain religions, such as Quakers, were exempted from the draft. It was up to the government to decide whose religion had a "legitimate" claim on keeping out of the army, and whose religion would not be recognized. Who better to cleave to this life, in this body, than those who believe no other exists. If "This is IT," as Harry proclaims, then only a fool will throw his life away casually.

Atheists and free thinkers are the most at-risk minority (we are each a minority of one!) in this world today. Register by e-mail or guest book (see home page) as your first step to asserting and protecting the freedom and recognition that are yours by virtue of your existence as a free human being on earth!

Harry The Librarian, a public library director in several states, founded the Church of Gold in 1975. Geocities made it possible for him to bring it on the internet in 1996. It is a SANCTUARY for Atheists and Materialists, and for all who comprehend that this life, on this planet, is real and sacred and holy. This is the only life YOU will ever live.

My life and yours are the highest values that ever will exist for us. Your desire to live deserves at least the same amount of protection, respect and dignity as are offered to the so-called "higher values" of believers who minimize or deny the reality and supremacy of this life on Earth.

Do not lose your awareness that your time is your life. THIS IS IT! I "preached" since 1998: "Do not let the hype of the approaching millenium frighten you into accepting any more mysticism." I was right! "MYSTICISM COLLAPSE!"

Reason, the rational use of your own mind, is your ownly hope. (Your own and only hope!)
