Step #5: Creating new IFO files with IfoEdit

One your edited VOB files are joined you should end up with something like the following:

vts_01_1.vob
vts_01_2.vob
vts_01_3vob
vts_01_4.vob
vts_01_5.vob

To make these files into a DVD, we need to create a new set of IFO files. To do this we will use an excellent little program called IfoEdit. To create a new set of IFOs:

  1. Launch IfoEdit, and press the button 'Create IFOs' button on the bottom of its interface
  2. When you are prompted for the VOB file, you want to create the IFO files for, pick your first VOB file - vts_01_1.vob

  3. Next you will be prompted for a destination directory for the output IFO files. Use the same directory - so just press "Save"
  4. IfoEdit will scan the VOBs in your directory and create a new set of VOBs for them

If you are still confused, there is a very nice tutorial on how to do this on the Derrow IfoEdit site.
