2004 Highlights

Boys Soccer

The boys played on the Plattsville soccer team again this summer. Josiah was too old for the teams, but got paid as an offical linesman instead.

Joanne Baseball

Baseball is Joanne's favourite summer sport. For several years she has been playing for the Sharks team with Howard's colleagues from work.

She had a spectacular season hitting a triple and several doubles.

Family Biking

Biking is another popular family activity. Howard enjoyed biking to work and back (11 km from our home) several times a week during the summer months.

Kitchener has many scenic interconnected bike paths, with pleasant stops along the way.

Pake Karla Derek Argo

When visiting Pake's farm, we leave the bikes at home in favour of BIGGER toys :)

Derek Lawn Mower

This year Derek joined the landscape maintenance team, regularly mowing the lawn.

Karla Driving

Karla got to operate bigger equipment as well when she successfully obtained her G1 license. So far no dents!

Karla still loves animals of all types. In addition to volunteering at the local Humane Society, you might find her catching a Garder snake or two.

Baby Bunnies

Her rabbit had another litter of cute little bunnies. This year she decided to cash in and sell all her rabbits to pursue other career opportunities...

... and lands a part-time job at SubWorx.

Ray Sonya 25 years

In August we celebrated Ray and Sonya's 25th Wedding Anniversary. Ray is Howard's older brother.

Being captive on a three hour tour can get a little risky, particularly when you can't escape from your relatives!

Vedders

In August, the Vedders (Joanne's maternal relatives), celebrated their 50th anniversary since immagrating to Canada from the Netherlands.

Kids Arrowhead Falls

Joanne and the kids joined the fun as they all camped at Arrowhead Provincial Park.

Josiah revels in the thrill of being completely immersed in the rushing waters of Burks Falls.
