I didn’t think that insurance companies could be unique –until
I met Dave Broostad. Dave is the President of Full Circle Croup Benefit Consultants Ltd. which specializes in group benefit programs for business association members. Together with his assistant Betty Reid, they provide their clients with comprehensive benefit programs designed specifically for small businesses. Their packages can include group extended health, hospitalization, prescription drugs, dental, vision care, disability and life insurance coverage. The majority of his 250 clients are small businesses with less than 10 employees. They can even provide coverage to self employed entrepreneurs and individuals operating home based businesses.
Dave has been in the insurance business for 23 years. He started his own business when he recognized the advantages of being independent and the need to deal with many insurance companies on his clients behalf. Dave has been at his current location for 10 years and has seen the diverse ethnic groups in the Hamilton Road area work together to improve both the neighborhood and business environment.
He has prospered on his own and is reaping the rewards of being his own boss. His business has grown and gone from a one-person retail operation to one that oversees the efforts of many marketing agents spread out across Eastern Canada. Dave looks after a special benefit plan for members of our local Better Business Bureau and our association can look forward, in the near future, to having access to a benefit plan designed for its membership as well.
Dave also keeps busy being a part of The Better Business Bureau of Western Ontario (London), The Independent Life Insurance Brokers of Canada, The Canadian Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and the Canadian Professional Sales Associations.
