Quake
Quake was born second out of an eleven pup litter. His mother was having trouble pushing him out and his owner (acting as a midwife) was nervous about loosing him. There were five children present at the birthing and they were watching as their Mother tried to save this pup. He would pooch his nose out of the birth canal whimpering as if calling for help and then he would disappear back inside. The midwife was worried that the little guy was going to suffocate. So she did her best to aid in his birth. Just about the time she thought she had him out, the Nisqually One Earthquake hit. Suddenly this angel of mercy found herself alone upstairs standing in the kiddy pool she was using for the birthing. As the earth shook for what seemed like an eternity, she suddenly realized that she was alone in the house with this newborn pup in her grasp. No one, not even the pregnant mother were in the house. Thus, the legend of Quake the dog was born. I'll add more pictures and stories about this apple of my eye as time permits.
