Golf
" The golf swing is as unforgiving as locking your keys in your car. The second you push the door closed and see them hanging from the ignition, you know exactly, what you did wrong. But it's too late to do anything about it" FOOOOOORE!

Chug Brewski, reporter at large

This page will track my golf activity as it is now a part of my weekly exercise regimen

If you are seeking a good place to take lessons call Eric Driessen at: (206) 298-0205. He is a PGA Golf Professional and the owner/instructor at the Golf Zone - 2264 15th Ave. West, Seattle, Wa.

Thank You to Eric Driessen at the Golf Zone for the free lessons, friendship, and support. You are the best. If you can get a 539 pound man to play good golf. You can teach almost anyone to do it. I highly recommend this guy. He comes from a family of educators, has an enormous passion and knowledge of the game. He has a knack for teaching you the game in a way that you, personally, can understand it best. He brings the game to you, rather than you, to the game. He is special!

The One

Below is a record of my golf progress through March of 2004. I am no longer keeping a record of my Golf rounds or practices. Just know this; If the weather is not too severe, I will either play golf or practice golf that day for a minimum of two hours. If the weather is severe, I will go to a covered driving range. I will practice my putting every day at home at my putting station. I am a thirty handicap now after playing consistently for the past year on the championship courses. I average 103 per 18 holes at Battle Creek Golf course. This coming season my goal is to average 95 or better by the end of the season. I have been working very hard on my short game, changed my putting style to a lead hand low style, carrying four wedges in my bag including Pitching Wedge, Sand Wedge, Lob Wedge, and an X wedge. I am not hitting a driver yet, but I am hitting a three wood off the tee. I have a five wood and a new 7 wood that I am hitting in the fairway. Up till now I had been hitting five wood off the tee and strictly irons in the fairway. I am going through a lot of changes with my game and maintaing my scoring average. However, I am getting increasingly more accurate with my clubs and hitting  more fairways. I know that when I get comfortable with these changes that my game will improve. This year I am also hoping to walk the front nine rather riding a cart. I am close to achieving that goal.
