THE ART OF LIVING COURSE: THE YOGA OF BREATH
|
The Art of Living course offers simple but very effective techniques and understandings which transform and release accumulated stresses and pent up emotions. The degree to which stress unduly influences our lives is often underestimated. Frequently our minds cling to anger, guilt or regrets about the past, or anxiety about the future. This oscillation of the mind results in tension and stress both for ourselves and for the people around us. To be able to manage our mind and negative emotions is an art: the Art of Living.
The breath offers a wonderful tool for rapidly calming the mind, relaxing the body and energising the system. The Art of Living Course features a unique and powerful breathing technique, the Sudarshan Kriya ®, which uses specific rhythms of the breath to eliminate stress, harmonise bodily functions, transform overpowering emotions and restore peace of mind.
The course also includes other breathing and meditation techniques, simple and fun yoga postures and practice of deep relaxation. Profound but light hearted knowledge about the laws governing one's mind, and skills to help deal effectively with negative emotions, are also shared. These tools and understandings when applied, allow our natural, innate joy and peace to blossom.
The course has been enjoyed by people of all backgrounds, cultures and traditions all over the world. It does not conflict with any religious or spiritual practice. It is fun and deeply relaxing.
Some of the benefits include:
- Reduced stress;
- More joy and enthusiasm;
- Improved efficiency and productivity;
- Heightened self-esteem;
- Enhanced health and well-being;
- Improved interpersonal skills;
- Heightened awareness and clearer perception.
