Have you been having nightmares lately that involve a freaky man in a red and green striped shirt? If so, than those aren't ordinary nightmares. You have been visited by Freddy Krugar. You will most likely wake up screaming or dead.

Freddy Krugar is a guy that appears in your nightmares and takes your life. He wears a red and green striped shirt, a black hat with his name on it, and he has knives instead of fingers.

The whole story started off with Nancy and her friends having the same nightmare. They all dreamed of Freddy. One by one, Nancy's friends die in their sleep in a gruesome and unnatural way. The police would not believe in Nancy's story, so she attempts to stop Freddy herself by dragging him back to reality. It seems as if she succeeded, but as you all know from other horror movies, the bad guys always win. Somehow, Freddy managed to survive and created more stories to the Nightmare on Elm Street series.

We finally found out why Freddy killed people in the Final Nightmare. Freddy had killed his wife when he was human. Unfortunately, his daughter had caught him in the act. Freddy loved his daughter, and did not want to lose her. Freddy's daughter was scared of him, and ended up being taken away by the government. Freddy was enraged, and wanted revenge. He made a pact with the devil, and therefore, he can only live in the world of nightmares. When the characters finally pulled Freddy into the real world, the world became dream-like, it wasn't until Freddy was killed that everything was back to normal.

This is a really good horror series. It is filled with horror and suspense in every moment. Of course, I only told you bits and pieces of the whole story. I admit that I don't know that much, so if you like what you see, then check it out at your local video store or library.
