The mummification process was first invented by the Egyptians. The Egyptian pharoahs (kings) had the honor of being mummified. When the pharoah dies, the Egyptians put some kind of medicine on his body. They then wrap bandages all over the pharoahs body. They do this to preserve the body. The pharoah is then put into a coffin, which is placed into a tomb with all his personal belongings. The tomb is inside the pyramid.

It is believed that sometimes the pharoah has powerful magic or a strong ambition, that they come back alive in their mummy form to try to control their people. The mummy is very powerful. It is similar to a zombie because of its decaying body. Even though the body is nicely preserved, it still has this decaying odor about it. The best way to destroy a mummy is by burning it. Sometimes, a mummy does not come back alive, but its spirit haunts the tomb. For example, when archaeologists tried to open King Tut's tomb, bad things happened to them. King Tut had cursed his tomb. I don't really blame him because it's his personal belonging, but cursing them seems a little extreme. After all, we just want to learn more about history. Anyways, mummies are not friendly creatures. They may be dumb or wise, but they are very powerful. They also seem to have a bad temper. Keep Away!
