mortality and death. This object brings despair. A skeleton with a scythe that
cuts life down represents the Grim Reaper, a mythological figure that represents
death. The Grim Reaper is kind of like the Angel of Death. He takes your soul away
from your body when you die, and leads you to the place of life after death.
According to tarot cards, the death card is symbolized by a skeleton with
a scythe that cuts down life. This is an unlucky card, and will lead to doom.
