Vampires are blood-sucking creatures. They are immortal and undead. Vampires have no souls, so therefore they have no guilt. Vampires are servants of Dracula. Although they are immortal, they can be destroyed. Vampires can be staked or burned by either fire or sunlight. They are afraid of sunlight, holy water, crosses, and garlic. Vampires use our blood for food, and they enjoying toying with our hearts. Once they start drinking blood, they become addicted. Vampires are tempted by our veins that pulse with blood. They can become hysterical, cruel and savage when they are starving. Vampires consider humans to be vermin, which means we are inferior to them. Ironically, humans tend to be fascinated by vampires, so we fall into their traps. You must be dying to know how they came to be. Well, I will tell you a tale. According to L.J. Smith, there used to be to sisters that were Hecate (hearth women). Hellewise was a compassionate, beautiful blond, while Maya was a dark, ambitious girl. Maya wanted to become immortal and never grow old. She found a way to do so, but she must drink blood to accomplish her goal. Maya was desperate to follow her dream, so she drank lots of blood. Maya soon became very powerful, and even immortal. She didn't age. Maya was happy with her success. Unfortunately, by drinking blood, Maya lost her soul and became evil. Hellewise tried to stop her, but it was too late. Now Maya feeds on human blood. Maya even decided to turn others into monsters like herself. She can do this by exchanging some of her blood with their's. Therefore, the human will turn into a vampire in a few hours. Vampires made through this blood exchanging process are known as made vampires. They are weaker than Maya, especially when they're new. Made vampires can not age even if they wanted to. They stay in the same form they were in when they were humans. At one point, Maya decided to mate and have children. These children were powerful vampires. They were known as the "lamia" which means born vampires. These vampires can age when they please, but they can also choose to stop aging at some point in their life. Through mating, and blood exchanging, Maya created a colony of vampires. Now, us humans, must be careful after dark.
