I have just finished a personal resume site where I will list more of my experiences and information about my background. You can find the site at www.oocities.org/doreyprofile

This site began as a way of making the employment search a little easier to digest. Having just completed my Master's degree in International Development Studies at Dalhousie University I was finding it difficult to maintain a vigilent approach and attitude toward job-hunting.

So I started logging the sites and opportunities I found and built this site so I could easily access them from anywhere in the world. The information posted on this site is geared toward my qualifications, but I'm always on the look out for anything that might be interesting or beneficial for someone in similar shoes.

I hope you find the site a worthwhile venture and I welcome any suggestions, clarifications or other input.

David Dorey

David Dorey obtained his degree in Development Studies and Geography from Queen's University in his hometown of Kingston, Ontario. While at Queen's Dave kept busy in many aspects of the Development Studies programme, assisting in the preparation and undertaking of conferences and an internal academic review. Active as well at Dalhousie, Dave added the title of teaching assistant and another academic review to his resume. With stints at WUSC desiging educational material and at the Pearson Peacekeeping Centre assisting in the preparation of a peacekeeping exercise, Dave is ready for whatever challenge awaits.

Recently returned from Ecuador where he worked in the development and design of various educational materials for youth-based environmental groups, Dave is once again jumping into the job waters and looking for new opportunities.

I would like to thank my partner, Christine, for help in the beginning stages of this project. Another IDS grad, she's since found the glories of salaried employment. A quick bio of her follows.

Christine Hughes

Hailing from London, Ontario, Christine Hughes holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario, and of course an M.A. in IDS from Dalhousie. She returned in June from a seven month internship in Quetzaltenango (Xela), Guatemala. She worked with an organization called Nuevos Horizontes which offers programs and services to women victims of violence, and does community outreach work to raise awareness of women's issues. Christine worked with the Community Education team. Christine currently works for Sexual Assault Centre London.
