Indie Pizza is a Web zine devoted to independent, or indie, pizza parlors in the Kansas City area. Though this may seem like a far-fetched subject matter, there is evidence that small pizza parlors are an integral part of the "American experience". What, exactly, is an Indie Pizza parlor?

For the purposes of this site, independent and small chains are considered Indie Pizza parlors. The epitome of the term is a single restaurant, such as Pappi's Pizza & Pub . However, small chains of local/regional restaurants, are usually able to maintain an independent vibe.
