Spanish government presents citizenship to 7 veterans of SCW - June 9th 2009

At a moving ceremony held on June 9th in London, 7 of the remaining veterans of the International Brigades met at the Spanish Embassy to be presented with citizenship in ercognition of their self-sacrifice during the Spanish Civil War. Among those present was Paddy Cochrane, from Dublin, who served as a medic and Scotsman Tommy Watters, also a medic, who served alongside Belfast volunteer Joe Boyd.
