I currently work for Johns Hopkins Health System. The Johns Hopkins Health System includes The Johns Hopkins Hospital as well as "two other acute-care hospitals and other integrated health-care delivery components, with a network of primary and specialty care practices throughout Maryland, outpatient care, long-term care, and home care."

While working, I am pursuing a graduate degree at Johns Hopkins University, Carey Business School. The Saturday MBA allows me flexibility to pursue higher education.

After a brief hiatus, I rejoined the workforce at Solo Cup Company. "Solo Cup Company is a $2.3 billion publicly reporting company headquartered in Highland Park, Illinois. Exclusively focused on the manufacture of disposable tableware and packaging for the consumer/retail, foodservice, packaging, and international markets, Solo has broad expertise in plastic, paper, and foam disposables."

I worked for Shaw Environmental, Inc. which is a subset of The Shaw Group. "The Shaw Group has grown to become the world's only vertically-integrated provider of complete piping systems, and comprehensive engineering, procurement and construction services". It was founded in 1987 and I joined the company when Shaw bought out the assets of IT Corporation.

Before becoming Shaw Environmental, Inc., the company I worked for was IT Corporation. IT Corporation was a subset of The IT Group. The IT Group filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in January of 2002.

I graduated from the University of Maryland College Park, with a BA in Economics. I was also involved with the African-American Studies Department. Both these programs are in the University of Maryland's College of Behavioral and Social Sciences (BSOS). I was lucky to be the 1995 recipient of the John B. & Ida Slaughter Scholarship

In 1995, I graduated from Montgomery Blair High School. I am forever indebted to the teachers and coaches who guided me in high school. With their help and support, I was selected as the Scholar Athlete of the Class of 1995. Besides being captain of the Track and Field team and a member of the National Honor Society, I also was part of various clubs. Among which are Stage Crew and Silver International. In addition, I was able to attend various Summer Search Programs. If you are an alumni, help support good old Blair by donating to help restore the Old Blair Auditorium.

My first experience with the American Education System was at Eastern Middle School. Many thanks to all the teachers who helped me assimilate into American culture. They taught me to definitely "soar and learn". My old teachers are no longer there now and I regret that I never went back to thank them personally for seeing my potential and helping me reach it.

I was fortunate enough to have been a student at Saint Joseph's Secondary School in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Despite the fact that I was only there for two years, Convent (as SJSS is commonly known) provided me with the strong educational discipline that I now possess. My education started at King Harman Preparatory School also in Freetown, Sierra Leone. I attribute my work ethic to the lessons instilled in me during those early days.
