A
baby is an angel whose wings decrease as his legs increase
|
The
main purpose of holding children's parties is to remind
yourself that there are children more awful than your own.
|
In
the eyes of a child you will see...the world as it should be.
|
Growing up sucks...
Not
all kisses are magic & most boys don't live up to your expectations,
But
there are those times when everything, I mean love, romance,
Relationships, it all falls together & its absolutely incredible.
It's those moments, no matter how depressingly far & few between,
That make growing up worth it...
|
The
first half of our lives is ruined by our parents,
and
the second half by our children.
|
Children seldom misquote you. In fact, they usually
repeat word for word what you shouldn't have said.
|
To
understand your parents' love, you must raise children yourself.
|
A
baby is God's opinion that the world should go on.
|
We spend the first
twelve months of our children's lives teaching them to
walk and talk and
the next twelve telling them to sit down and shut up
|
Having children makes you no more a parent
than having a piano makes you a pianist.
|
It
would seem that something which means poverty, disorder and violence
every single day should be avoided entirely,
but
the desire to have children is a natural urge.
|
The quickest way for a parent to get a child's attention
is
to sit down and look comfortable
|
If
you want children to keep their feet on the ground,
put
some responsibility on their shoulders.
|
The
problem with children is that you have to put up with their parents
|
Children aren't happy with nothing to ignore,
And that's what parents were created for.
|
Sing out loud in the car even, or especially, if it embarrasses your children
|
If
your children spend most of their time in other people's houses, you're lucky;
if
they all congregate at your house, you're blessed
|
If
I had my child to raise all over again,
I'd build self-esteem first, and the house later.
I'd finger-paint more, and point the finger less.
I would do less correcting and more connecting.
I'd take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes.
I'd take more hikes and fly more kites.
I'd stop playing serious, and seriously play.
I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars.
I'd do more hugging and less tugging.
|
You
can learn many things from children.
How
much patience you have, for instance
|
Children need love, especially when they do not deserve it
|
Children are the living messages we send to a time we will not see.
|
Every child comes with the message that God is not yet discouraged of man.
|
Anyone who thinks the art of conversation is dead
ought to tell a child to go to bed
|
People who say they sleep like a baby usually don't have one
|
The
older I grow the more earnestly I feel that the few joys
of
childhood are the best that life has to give
|
There's nothing that can help you understand your beliefs
more than trying to explain them to an inquisitive child
|
Humans are the only animals that have children on purpose
with the exception of guppies, who like to eat theirs
