Statue of Liberty

Our trip to Ms. Liberty was a bit of a fiasco. A 2 hour drive from where we were staying at the Roseland Ranch. We soared through a corner of Connecticut and somehow...someway got lost in the Bronx!!
But with the help of some very nice people, we made our way into the 'Garden State' of New Jersey only to arrive 5 minutes too late for the last ferry leaving for Ellis Island! Ahhh... but then... the wonderful manager of the ferry let us get aboard with no charge!! To top it all off, we took hundreds of pictures only to find out later that something went wrong and only a handful came out! Ahhhh! But all in all it was truly an exciting experience, and the Statue is awesome!


The New Jersey Turnpike. Just another toll you gotta pay for Liberty! (Okay... forget I said that!)	Once you enter 'Liberty Park' you drive down this cobblestone road to get to the ferry boat.


Our first glimpse of the Statue. What an awesome feeling to finally be approaching this historic monument!	The 'Miss New Jersey' ferry made a quick stop on the way to Ellis Island, and she's so close yet still so far!

Caity always likes to ham it up for the camera! She's probably gonna grow up to be a fashion model or a news weather reporter!
	"Keep off the Mom!" Mom was having the time of her life! The Statue of Liberty was what she wanted to see most!
