Back to School - Teaching

Well, guess what? I've been too busy to update my webpage again. It's been well over 2 months since I've done anything related to the page. One of the reasons is because I'm working again. I'm teaching at one of the dozens of ESL colleges in Vancouver.

It's has been a good experience thus far. I started work at the beginning of July and it's been a lot of fun. I teach more hours per week than I did in China. It can be very busy planning for 5-6 hours of classes a day.

My students come from all sorts of countries. Most of them are Korea, Japan, and Mexico. There are also students from Thailand, Venezuela, Taiwan, and Brazil. It's a very interesting mix of students. I've had a lot of fun getting to know them. However, it can be a little sad because some students only stay for a short time, like one month. Some stay longer like for a year. Most students stay for an average of 6 months.

Well, I better go do my evaluations. Talk to you later.
