James Lee Cobb & Alma Jean Crawford Miss Alma Jean, daughter of Mrs. Ethel Crawford and James Lee Cobb, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Cobb were united in marriage, in a single ring ceremony Friday May 11, 11 a.m. at the home of Rev. A.L. Osborne, Methodist minister at Carrollton. Mrs. Katherine Crawford, sister of the groom and Marvin Crawford, brother of the bride, were the attendants. The bride wore a blue satin dress with a red corsage. The groom is engaged in farming and they will make their home with the groom's parents temporarily. The bride's mother gave a reception Friday night, the following guest being present; Mr. & Mrs. Paul Crawford and daughters, Mr. & Mrs. Marvin Crawford and daughter, Mr. & Mrs. James Cobb and daughter. |

Carrollton News-Democrat Oct 1993 BEVERLY DERMON Beverly Dermon, 88, Carrollton, died on Wed., Oct. 6, 1993 at Green Valley Health Care Center, after an extended illness. He was born on Nov. 22, 1904, in Carroll Co., and was the son of Joe Thomas & Luna Spencer Dermon. He was a member of White's Run Christian Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mary Ruth Ogburn of Sparta, Ky., Bertha New of Lebanon Oh., and Margie Beach of Carrolton, Ky.; four sons, Frank and Paul Dermon both of Carrollton; Bobby Dermon of Frankfort, Ky., and Billy Joe Dermon of Sanders, Ky.; one brother, Richard E. Dermon of Ghent, Ky.; 20 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Miller Dermon, on Aug. 31, 1989; four brothers, Luther, Henry, Earl, and Ernest Dermon; and one sister, Mary Elizabeth Garrett. Services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 8, 1993, at the Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, with burial at the Carrollton I.O.O.F. Cemetery. The Rev. Paul Cropper officiated the funeral. Pallbearers included Dennis New, Todd Dermon, Jeff Dermon, Travis Dermon, Paul Dermon, Jr., and Mark Ogburn. |
