Name: Beatriz.
Location: Madrid, Spain.
Yup, I know. You are dying to know more about me
. I am Beatriz, aka amsog, aka Gallofa... but I will also answer to
any of the following: Your Highness, Your Divine Graciousness and of course, "eh! YOU!" At the ripe old age of 22 I am the
official grandma of the group, and as a consecuence, I can get away with doing anything I please!
I am a big fan of every single tennis player from Spain. From 1988 onwards, I have followed Arantxa's career
, really loving tennis and all the other players as I grew up. I guess the heros that survive through childhood and grow with
us into adulthood become part of our own soul. And, suddendly, I realised Arantxa and Conchita and many others may be
saying goodbye to tennis soon, and I got scared that I would never had the chance to see them playing live. And, that day,
started my going to see tournaments. First was a failed attempt to go to Filderstadt, and then, I managed to go to the Madrid
Open, Roland Garros and finally, Wimbledon! Three tourneys in just two months!
In one of our many hours in the queue at Wimbledon and trying not to fall asleep, I decided I will do a web site about the whole
Wimbledon 2000 experience. Such a great time of having fun, making friends and cheering should not be forgotten!
I, for one, don't want to forget about it.
Mel, Paula, Stacey, Kat and Caz! You girls are the best! and I could have never imagined I would be having one of the best
times of my life with all of you.
This site is as much a tribute to Magüi Serna (the great! bow in her presence!) as a thank you to my five friends for sharing a
bit of themselves with me during those days! So, thank you, girls, I love ya!
