In June ’98 I was in a fairly bad car accident that put me out of
action for sometime. Having 10 days in hospital, which meant that I
saw Arantxa win her 3rd French Open title from a hospital bed. Seeing
her win that made me feel like I could do anything. I was released
from hospital days after. I will never forget that.
I had physio for 18 months. I could not go back to my job, where I was
a personal carer looking after disabled people in their homes (that
was such a rewarding job). In that 18 month period my family sold and
brought a new home. Hence now I am a Real Estate Agent for a very
successful agency in Belgrave. Check out some of our homes for sale.
www.bellrealestate.com.au the area where I work is very beautiful full
of National Parks.
I have been working here for near 3 years. Well last year when I went
over to Roland Garros, Eastbourne and Wimbledon for 6 weeks I kinda
lost my job for taking too much time off. But hey is was really worth
it. I would do it again tomorrow. However they asked me back this
January. Arrhhh I’m too good they could not live without me. Hehehe
Well getting onto how I became a tennis fan. Well many moons ago I was
watching TV late at night and the Hopman Cup was on. Oh by the way I
hated tennis every January there would be nothing but tennis on the TV
oh what a boring sport. I didn’t mind playing it but watch it on TV
and live ZZZZzzzzz. Anyway there was this little Spaniard playing
Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario wow could she run she NEVER gave up. Every
point the ball just kept coming back. Like I remember just thinking to
myself I would love to be like that in my sport. Keep going till the
end, give it your all, fight for every point. So from that day on I
supported Arantxa. Then the other year Arantxa played doubles at the
Australian Open Magui. They didn’t do that well losing in the first
round. But I have now adopted Magui as my second favorite.
More about me. I live at home with my mum Glenice, dad Noel and
brother Cory. My two dogs are Jasper and Monet, two cats Mini and Sox,
two lorikeets Lori and well the other one doesn’t really have a name
plus a few fish. We live in quite a big home (so if any fans would
like to come and watch the Australian Open you are more than welcome
to stay). I have a Hyundai Coupe dark green with ASV numberplates.
Which my friends got for me for my 21st birthday. My pride and joy. I
also collect Simpson cartoon Cels.
Well I don’t know what else you would like to know about me. But that
is about it. At this stage.
