Yugoslav league

   So, this is the place where I'm posting the freshest and most news, standings and match reports concerning Yugoslav volleyball league.

  17.04.   SRPSKI! New Yugoslav volleyball champion is Budućnost from Podgorica! In the 4th match of final series, it repeated the success from the 3rd game played four days earlier: after Budvanska rivijera had won first two sets, Budućnost won the final three and won its first YU champion title.

    In female championship, Crvena zvezda (Red Star) became   the champion for 21st time! Team from Belgrade was better than Jedinstvo from Užice by 3:1 in wins, and thus broke its series of 8 titles in a row.

  26.02.   SRPSKI! The league part of season is over (see the results and standings...), play-offs start on 28th February (see the fixtures...), and here are some interesting stats of this season's league...

  20.01.   SRPSKI! The unthinkable has happened! Team of VGSK has won its first match after a streak of 12 losses! Team from Veliko Gradište beat Beograd by 3:0 and forced the rest of championship to be exciting at the bottom, as well. See the standings...

  09.01.   SRPSKI! For sure the most exciting championship in last 10 years is continued. Budvanska rivijera managed to beat Budućnost in Podgorica and thus take the leading position on the standings table, and first five teams are within only 5 points. On the opposite side, at the bottom, VGSK is doing its best to win at least one match before the league is over. Complete results are here...

  25.11.   SRPSKI! After almost a year, YU league is active again!!! Also, don't forget to check Hot News! section which is also re-activated!

  25.11.   SRPSKI! Right now, a quite long pause in YU volleyball championship is on, because of matches of Cup semi-final tournaments and because of Grand Winners Cup in Japan, but in the meantime, you can check the results of the matches already played and, of course, see the current standings.

  25.11.   SRPSKI! Budvanska rivijera is the only team with all 6 wins out of 6 matches, but, different from last season, when they lost only 1 set in first 5 matches, this season thay already lost 8 sets, winning only 16 out of 18 possible points. Unexpectedly well placed is Mladi radnik which even has 1 point more than Vojvodina, while rookieVGSK hasn't managed to triumph in a YU league match. Check the standings...
