Stuff in Guangzhou

Here are some pics of things around where I live if people are interested.

Buildings

These are some buildings near where I live.
The first one's a blurry picture of some place near the Garden Hotel. Who's the happy little fellow at the top of the frame? Why it's the moon of course!
The next is an example of the shortage of original building designs in China, and the buildings in the next pic either resemble someone doing the finger or the male genatalia made out of cubes.
The last one is a building I know the name of: The China Telecom building.
That might not actually be what it's official name is, but that's what I call it (due to the large China Telecom logo atop it's lofty frame). I like this building because it's really tall and looks like something out of a Batman comic book.

Streets
The view at night from atop one of Guangzhou's many pedestrian bridges. They have fences in the middle of the street so you can't cross the 8-lane road.
Ocassionaly you'll come across a large hole in the street. Frequently these are filled with garbage and assorted human waste. The phone number on the sticker next to it is for forged University certificates.

These are two streets near my place. In the left photo you can see a bridge. And some people! The driver of the minivan is doing some illegal manouvre, which is hardly uncommon here.
The photo on the right is of Zhongshan Road 2. Some streets are so long they need to be divided up into numbers - Zhongshan goes up to at least 8. The counter in the middle of the traffic lights let drivers know how long until the next red or green light. Usually there's more traffic than this, but it was a slow day for some reason.
Underneath the road is a huge subway station/underground walkway. Convenient for foreigners who shit their pants at the thought of crossing the road.

Heighty Views

These three were taken from the fifth floor of one of the schools I teach at. I had to plod my chubby behind up all five flights of those bastard stairs, so be grateful for these shots.
Pay special attention to the colour of the water from the fountain in shot #2. Not surprisingly, that fountain really stinks.
