PICTURES

It has occured to me that I have a bunch of cool pictures taken of and by myself, and since Geocities offers a lot of free server space, and I'm stuck in on a Saturday night thanks to mono, I figure why not share right? After all sharing equals caring, or some crap like that...

NEW! Happy Birthday Alberto! - This new batch is from Alberto's recent birthday party at Grassroots. Nice little group shot here. I'd tell you who's in it but from the time it took me to upload it to now I've totally forgotten who besides me is in it.

NEW! Bullseye! - There's me and Mike Lyon playing darts - or rather, him playing and me making weird faces. I swear, I had no idea I was on camera there.

NEW! Me Baby! ME! - Just in case you were wondering what I look likely lately here's a pretty good example. Good to see I'm really maturing into my 20s.

NEW! Before...Pam's sharing the lens with me there. But she made an obnoxious comment about me so I was left with little choice...

NEW! ...and After...I had to pop her.

Matt & Robin: Styling - We got a whole bunch of Halloween 2K3 pictures. First up, dig me and Robin here. His facial expression kills me. He is way too cool for the room.

Mike, Alberto, & Dan - Here's some NYU peeps: Mike, dressed as Gareth from 'The Office,' Alberto as "Sick Superman," and Dan as...um, Dan.

Mike: Back on the Streets - There's Mike Lyon dressed as comic book gonzo journalist Spider Jerusalem, striking the classic "Back on the Streets" cover pose. If you know the character at all, that is an AMAZING shot (I took it, 'natch) of an AMAZING costume.

Go-Go Goes Goes - Speaking of awesome costumes, dig on Minjae as Go-Go from the most excellent film Kill Bill.

James So Pretty - James, who was NOT repeat NOT dressed like a pumpkin at his most photogenic.

Maggie & Matt - Myself and the lovely Maggie, dressed as Satine (I probably spelled it wrong) from Moulin Rouge. I didn't get the costume - I never saw the entire movie - and I was honest that I didn't know what she was. Ho boy, was that ever a mistake.

Smile Guys! There's Robin hiding behind Mike and Soren, whose expressions in this picture seem especially drunken and hilarious.

The Poop Shoot Staff - Taken at Stash Bash 2, from left to right we have Antony Teofilo (Renaissance Man), yours truly, Mike Sampson (The Bottom of The Things), Arthur P. Huckledink (Smart are the Brave), and Ian Bonds (Game On!). Good looking bunch if you ask me.

Poop Shoot & Jason Mewes - Another Stash Bash 2 shot with Jason "Jay" Mewes. His raised eyebrow kinda freaks me out there.

Ming The Merciful - That's me and Ian with View Askew web master and graphic design guru Ming. We have him to thank for how cool my column looks, particularly that spiffy logo he designed. Let's all take a moment to reflect on his contributions to my work. No, I said one moment. Sigh, let's just move on.

Bruce Campbell and Matt- Here at last, is the physical evidence of the meeting of two of the titans of the universe. Like Roosevelt and Churchill. Like Laurel and Hardy. It's Bruce and Matt! This was at the book signing in NYC. I must bronze this picture and preserve it always.

Kevin So and Matt!- Kevin is an AMAZING folk singer/songwriter who I first heard at this year's Falcon Ridge Folk Festival. A chance encounter in Harvard Square led to an evening spent listening to him perform on the street for hours. It was incredible. I got the picture. Check out Kevin's website HERE.

Matt & Poingly Take You High- Here's the finale of a recent performance. We're doing a rousing cover of Creed's Higher, so I, of course, had to take off my shirt to reveal a nasty wife beater. I guess you had to be there. Actually, you're probably lucky you weren't.

Ambush At Big Apple Con- Don't ever try to give Stormtroopers phony credits for comics. I learned the hard way. Pray for a quick recovery for me.

El Presidente- Here I am, as University Union President, in all my power, prestige and glory. Truly an awe inspiring figure. And, yes, that is my chair.

There's A Party Going On- Here's an action shot from my pal Heather's suprise birthday party. I don't feel like listing everyone here, but obviously that's me and Pete in the foreground jamming on guitar.

Freaky Deaky- Here's a quick snap done a week or so ago, check out the facial hair! Freaky deaky, indeed.

Full Body Deaky- For some reason, the photog wanted a full body shot as well. This is my serious model face.

Tiptoe Through The Tulips- I wish I had an explanation for this. Or a cute caption. I don't. I'm just very, very sorry.

The Greatest Sight On Earth- Here's a picture of the finest place on earth I know. Okay I exaggerate, but only slightly. Just gorgeous.

Matt And Tom's It only took me 6 years since the damn show ended, but I finally made my way up to 2880 Broadway at 112th, where the famous Tom's Restaurant stands. Truly, my life has reached its apex.

The Troma Files: The Great Troma Building- Here it is, where all the magic happens. Unfortunately, they didn't let me work in that building. I wasn't pretty enough. So I worked in a third story walk up across the street. Not kidding either.

The Troma Files: Ronni and Brian- Ronni, on the left, is the head of Troma Team Video. He took Brian's Subway sammich. Brian, on right, is the assistant editor at Troma. He was hungry. Playing with fire here folks.

The Troma Files: SeanCo's CEO- This is Sean McGrath, assistant editor at Troma, my boss there, and the CEO and founder of the amazing SeanCo. Industries. A true visionary.

The Troma Files: The Head Honcho- Gabe Friedman, head editor at Troma, and all around..er...guy. He's far more professional and talented than the picture denotes. But he does love that heavy metal music.

The Taurus Of Love: Then- There it is in all its glory. The Steed. The Stallion. The mighty TAURUS OF LOVE! My car. What a beaut.

The Taurus Of Love: Now- Thank goodness no one was hurt. That said, can I just whine; MY CAR!!! GAH!!!

A Freshman is Born- Me on my first day in my frestman dorm room. Note the posters. Note the glasses. Note the jean shorts. Note the doughy-eyed optimism. Is that even how you spell doughy?

Me and the Wad- That's me one of the first weekend's of junior year. That wad is all real money, from a sellout showing of Road Trip on campus. And no I didn't embezzle it, I'm gonna repay in installments.

My Feeble Attempt At Art- That's a weird sculpture that hangs from the ceiling in HBC. It alledgedly used to be shiny, and reflected the sunlight real pretty like. Unfortunately, it hasn't been polished in about 350 years. So it's all gross and dusty. Naturally, I therefore had to lie on my back on the ground to take a picture of it. It actually looks pretty neat.

Water, Sir?- What passes for humor at a UU party. Because I desperately craved attention at our end of the year bash, and I was thirsty, I grabbed a pitcher and started pouring with my best butler voice.

I'm A Bad Widdle Boy- Matt, circa early sophmore year. Photo taken to showcase my titanic beauty on the UUCinemas website. A hit then, and a classic now.

The Dumb Thinker- Another shot of me from UU, early sophmore year. It's times like this I wish I was more inhibited. And had the body of Fabio.

Don't Mess With The Masta- Me posing in front of the UU Cinemas crew. A fine looking bunch no? You might spot that there's someone behind me with legs and a torso, but a head which is not visible. Understand, his head is not up my butt. Not here anyway.

Entertaining The Masses-Yours truly announcing for a big crowd at the movies. It looks impressive here; twenty-five seconds later I was booed of the stage, savagely beaten, insulted ("Matt Singer: Booger Flinger"), and then forced to watch Coyote Ugly until my eyes bled.

Absolut Rosebad- My favorite Absolut ad. I have no clue where I found it online, but I'm glad I did.

The 2013 Team-Kev, Ted, and I back in the ol' penthouse suite in Lawrinson. Note Kevin's "Hitler Hair" (as he calls it), and my hair semi-fro. Ted, of course, looks exactly the same.

UUCinemas: 2000-1-Here's just about everybody, except Pete and Heather. We made a lot of money this night, so I basically tried to make sweet love to it. But it shot me down.

Melish Band Photo-We look freaky, but that's me and Pete posing and trying to look real serious-like. We're really not as deep as this picture lets on...and as such...

Melish in the Bahamas-Here are the wild boys of Melish out and about in the beautiful Bahamas. Oh what a wild time that was...next stop on the tour...

Melish On The Road- ...was supposed to be the Grand Canyon for a free, outdoor concert, but our bus broke down. Luckily we were able to make it to...

Melish at the Sunset- ...wherever this is...heaven perhaps? We are soulful rockers like Creed, except we are multifaith, and we wear sweaters and glasses and are sensitive and deep. Our darkness fills your hearts with pain.

The Phantom Loses It- This is a sketch by my friend Chris Moreno, and it cracks me up so much I thought I'd share. See, we were joking around about how the tagline for The Phantom movie (starring Billy Zane if I recall) was "Slam Evil!" and we just started spouting "Slam ____!" phrases, and probably the best was my "Slam Teenage Pregnancy!" prompting this sketch from Chris.

A Sneak Peak At Some Work- Here's another sketch by the great Chris Moreno. This is one of his design sketches for a story that I wrote and he drew, and will hopefully be published soon in an anthology of people from a message board I frequent. If and when it is finished we will let you know. Chris has finished his art (Which look great) and now the pencils are being inked and lettered. Stay tuned...
