They appear to be sure, based on the theories derived from Scottish family history,
but they cannot be confirmed without the linking documentation.

Ancestors of John McNab (1896-1981)

1 John Mc Nab:

John was the son of Peter Mc Nab and Jane Mc Donald.
He was born at 6 Greenhead Terrace
in Uddingston, Lanarkshire, Scotland on January 21, 1896.
(A William McNab was listed as the Registrar on the Extract of the Register of Births
He may have been John's uncle.)

As a youth, John was an avid footballer, winning several medals.
He served in the Kings Own Scottish Borders regiment
of the British Army during World War I.
He was wounded by machine gun fire in a battle in France.
On February 13, 1922, John arrived at Ellis Island, via Bermuda,
aboard the SS Fort Hamilton where he served as Asst Steward.
John married Jeannie Ann Taylor in Newark, New Jersey, July 29, 1924.
In 1928, they purchased a home at 68 Garfield Ave. in Kearny, New Jersey.
He became a naturalized citizen of the United States of America
on November 9, 1931.
John's main occupations were Plasterer and Machinist.
During World War II, he worked in the Kearny Federal Shipyards
and served as an Air Raid Warden.
John died May 30, 1981 in Jersey City, New Jersey, at 85 years of age.

Margaret McNab born March 28, 1894 in Uddingston, Lanarkshire.
