Fun facts

The Anime Guide icon file names all started with the number 1. As I was changing to the new set, I needed a way to tell which ones were mine. So I started their file names with the number 2, which I still do today. The first icon I made was Darkness, represented by an 8-ball.

The new and improved Kami Ratings went up sometime in June 2000. The first guest review was Chibi Alex-chan's of Sailor Moon goes to hell, posted on September 28. It was the first of 14 reviews she did for me. Thank you very much for your work, Alex-chan!

The three first review icons, "Meagen's Choice", "Eye Candy" and the dreaded "Keep It Away With A Big Stick" were made on September 16. I wanted to name the last one "Deserves To Be Beaten With A Big Stick", but then decided that I didn't want to promote violence (even if some of those stories deserve it... j/k)

In October 2000 I made a new layout for the site, which I am still using. To celebrate my 100th review, I slimmed the navigation bar a bit.

As of July 16, 2001, there are 100 stories rated and 37 guest reviews. 28 stories have recieved the Meagen's Choice icon, 36 have Rebo's Fav, 14 have Alex-chan Loves This Story, 10 have KusuKusu's Blessing and 19 have Tenchi sez: This Story is L33t.

The only Kamis that got all five reviewers' "favourite" icon are Questors and Agile Heroes (both rated by me). Rebo's Love Quest and Alex-chan's Sparkle Star and Child of the Pomegranate all got "fav" icons from all the other reviewers.

My site used to be on a Fortunecity account (it replaced my first work, the "LightSenshi's Castle of the Stars" there), but I moved to Geocities on June 10th because it had a faster-loading file managing system.

All the files of my site are stored offline in a folder named "sitey". I keep a record of rated stories, guest reviews and reviewers' icons in a text file named stories-done.

I would like to thank everyone who submitted their ratings: Firefly, Ribby, Christiana:), KusuKusu, Chris-kun and Tenchi. Thanks also to those who wrote or posted their comments about this site on the Kami Forum, to Frecklegirl, you know why, and of course to all the Kamishibai authors who supply this site with review material. My extra special thanks to Alex-chan, Rebo and Shael, I wouldn't have gotten this far without you guys.

The Kamishibai Ratings Site was closed on August 9th, 2003, after over half a year of no updates. I even missed our third birthday... The existing reviews will remain in place indefinitely. There are 135, with 81 reviews by me and 70 by guest reviewers (it doesn't add up because some stories have multiple reviews).
