Sailor Moon Goes to Hell
Author: Bonnie Simons
Artist: N/A
A story about a monster who gets the best of the Sailor Soldiers.

This story has a very thin plot strung together with crude and often indecent jokes. The adult suggetions set with innocent picuters (edited from the Sailor Moon show) is just sick!

Sailor Moon Meets the Beatles
Author: TanyaGI
Artist: borrowed sprites
The Sailor Scouts travel in time to save the Beatles from the Witches 5 at various points in their career. Plus Venus drools over McCartney.

You know, combining the Beatles with Sailor Moon is not such a bad idea if you think about it. On one side, you have cute guys, good songs, and lots of inter-character dynamics. On the other, you have complex, emotional storylines with dramatic confrontations and an eventual happy ending. The Senshi can already travel in time. It's all there.

Unfortunately, what you get here are silly one-liners (sometimes almost forced into the dialogue) and boring backstory on one side, and cookie-cutter episode formats on the other. This story combines the worse of both worlds, topping it off with as few actual character traits as it can get away with. Plus in some places the music and sound clash horribly. Beatles fans go back to your CDs, Sailor Moon fans to A Sailor's Nightmare.

Urgh...while Meagen may see much good in the possibility of a Beatle/Sailor Moon crossover, I tend to find that animated characters crossing with live-action characters only works in Mary Poppins. This story seems to focus much more on telling the history of the Beatles than giving an interesting plot. In fact, outside of Venus swooning over Paul, the other characters don't bring anything to the plot except taking up quite a bit of space on pictures. The "Bono and Peter Schilling are lost" gag is sort of clever, but their being "major characters" just adds more dead weight to the bloated and under-developed cast.

The transformation sequences and attacks are overly-long and completely unnecessary. They take up too much time from the story, what little there really is.

Ahhh, the story. I'm still not following the logic. Why in HELL are the Witches 5 going back in time to steal Hope Crystals?! They should be dead by this point! Also, the Outer Senshi are shown in their Super forms, but with Pegasus and Sailor Moon not yet reaching Eternal form, this seems completely anachronistic with the Sailormoon timeline. Then again, I can nitpick that element for several more pages, so I'll just stop now.

The time travel element doesn't seem that necessary, it seems more of an excuse to traverse the Beatles history and show the sprites at different Beatles ages. And I have no idea where the author got the idea of Paul's Golden Hope Crystal causing him to fall in love with Yoko Ono. Huh? This is mentioned twice in the last part of the story and never explained or shown.

I'm tempted to swat this down, but this story isn't bad enough for the swatter. There's some clear effort put into it, even when it falls flat on it's face, and the artwork generally isn't too bad, even if Yoko Ono is pratically indistiguishable from Rei. At least it isn't a lousy image gallery with a random plot and music thrown in.

Set after Sailorstars, Rei has a nightmare about new enemies, and sure enough, the Replica Senshi show up to fight.

For a Sailor Moon Kami, I was surprised how good it was. The story is halfway decent, though a bit cliched, the author obviously has watched the show and doesn't make the characters do stupid things. This Kami has a great soundtrack, though I wish it had some sound effects.

While the pictures are all editted pictures, they are very well editted and pleasing to look at because they haven't been stretched and distorted to fit the window. The author also starts off the story with some background on the show, and while some of the info is a little screwy about the English names, I'll let it go. This is not an outstanding Kami, but for what it's worth, it's a pretty good read. Wish there was more than one part, though, as the preview did seem like the story might have been heading somewhere.

A Sailor Moon Series

While fighting an off-screen enemy, Sailor Moon randomly changes forms and tenses, causing the girls to end up in the hospital. Usagi finds them in room 29, wait, that might be 29, oh, it is 29 so never mind. Someone asks if they can come in so everyone promptly transforms. And it doesn't start making sense from there.

It looks like the author put up random images and tried to make a story to link them together. Failing miserably, might I add. Having the same music file play during a dozen scenes regardless of the action doesn't help, either. There's also an attempt at making a quiz to see if you were reading or just looking at the pictures. Altogether a complete waste of your time. Avoid.

Suddenly, the Senshi are transported to the Pokemon world and given Pokemon by a Neopets fairy. No, I don't know why. Probably because the author was bored.

Fun fact: You can shrink this story from 1 MB to 800 KB (zipped) just by removing the giant blank spaces from the pics. See rant for details.

The story's horribly dull, varying between easily predictable and completely pointless. Don't waste your time with this one.
